Green-breasted Mango 00130
Green-breasted Mangoes (Anthracothorax prevostihas) inhabit tropical deciduous forests and open areas with shrubs and gardens. They eat nectar from a variety of flowers and steal insects from spiderwebs. They will also take flying insects on the wing from treetop perches. The adult male, such as this one, has glittering green underparts with a dark blue-black vertical stripe along the middle. The tail feathers are deep magenta, tipped with black.
